Health Promotion Professional Participate In WELLNESS PROGRAM FOR TEENS In the Georgia Foster Care Program Ruthann Clark is a local certified personal trainer and a certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant at WORLD GYM in Peachtree City , Georgia . She was invited to return this year to participate in the Independent Living Program for teens departing the foster care system in the state of Georgia . Over 300 teens attend the workshop in Atlanta , Georgia . The Independent Living Program is design to assist youth in the transition and build upon independent living skills. These are the youth in the foster care system that have made it through high school graduation, GED programs and vocational schools with many obstacles to overcome. Ruthann feels this is a rewarding part of her profession, to have the opportunity to encourage teenagers to healthier lifestyle choices.  LOCAL PROFESSIONALS CONTRIBUTE TO GOVERNOR SONNY PERDUE’S CAPITOL CHALLENGE 
Recently, Governor Sonny Perdue made a public announcement to become healthier. He began the “Governor’s Challenge: Fitness on My Mind,” also, referred to as the “Capitol Challenge”. Perdue challenged state employees to join him. Taking the challenge with the Governor are 1,800 state employees.
Karla Grady and Ruthann Clark co-owners of PEACHTREE FITNESS PROFESSIONALS, a local health promotion company, contributed to the Governor’s program to educate and motivate participants in their efforts. Perdue personally joked to Ruthann and Karla that by making his effort public he said “How’s that for accountability?” A true incentive when the whole world knows it. Peachtree Fitness Professional specializes in health promotion presentations, corporate wellness programming, lifestyle and weight management counseling and one-on-one personal training. Both Karla and Ruthann are certified by the American Council on Exercise and have conducted wellness programs locally as well as outside the Atlanta area.
