"After several months of training on May 31st I completed my
first Half-Ironman Triathlon. With 95 degree temperatures,
rolling hills for the bike portion, and poor hydration I
quickly learned that training hard isn't the only aspect of
doing well in an Endurance event such as long Triathlons.
This event was a tremendous learning experience as I attempt
to complete a full Ironman November 1st in Panama City, FL.
As the location manager of World Gym Peachtree City I am
blessed to have some many amenities at my fingertips. Just
to name a few... the indoor pool, treadmills (with tv's, for
those cold rainy days), cycle classes with clipless pedals,
endless classes to build long lean muscle, and various
opportunites to work on my stretching and core. To complete
a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run I better
have a strong core to get me through! "
