WOW!  Who would have thought eating three healthy meals and two healthy snacks (that's five times) each day, would help you lose weight, inches, and have lots of energy? Well, that's exactly what happened to me!

With the "All About You" program and Patricia's guidance I learned how to eat properly and feel great at the same time. This a program i would recommend to anyone who has tried over and over again to lose weight and failed. There is an answer, " All About You".

The last twelve weeks in the All About You program have been tremendously interesting, informative, and challenging; also I have made a new friend in you. I am so very appreciative of you and all that you have done to help me reach my goal of achieving a great cholesterol report at my next physical.

This program is excellent in all areas, but you have both the knowledge and personality to make it work. The information given is outstanding, and the fact that one journals daily and meets with you every week keeps one on his toes and responsible.

Not only have I profited from the nutrition aspect, but also from the fact that you are in the medical profession. "All my life I have always been overweight. In 3 rd . grade I did Weight Watchers and lost 20lbs. I stopped and gained it all back. I've watched my mother go through ups and downs with her weight. This past year she lost 70lbs and that inspired me to start loosing again. I joined the gym and started working out and counting calories. Once the holidays came, I fell off the dieting wagon. “Hi, My name is Robert and I have a story to share with you. I am one of those people that has been large all of their life and everything went good for me until I reached 40. At that age, I started falling apart. First, it was high blood pressure and second, diabetes. My doctors started telling me I had to lose weight, but couldn't tell me how to accomplish this task. The 3rd thing was severe back pain due to a damaged nerve from an arthritis spur. After spur removal, the pain still restricted my ability to exercise. Two years later, I cannot walk ¼ mile or stand more than 10 minutes without severe pain. My blood pressure range has been 150/90 and my blood sugars ran in the 250's. I've been taking two medications for blood pressure and two different medications for blood sugar (Lantus 2X daily and Humalog before every meal).

In September 2006, I weighed 363 lbs. and my average A1C number was 7.5 which should be 6 or below. My doctor said I had to do something. I started looking into gyms which brought me to World Gym and meeting Patricia Woody. She explained the All About You course but I didn't get started right away. Instead, I attempted to do two 3 minute sessions on the stationary bike and some upper body weight resistance equipment. I experienced so much nerve pain I had to miss the next day of work. It was obvious that I could not work out.

In a couple of days, I revisited Patricia. I began the Balanced Nutrition course the end of October, 2006. Within two weeks MY DAILY READINGS WERE FALLING BELOW 150.

Patricia worked with me to adjust the plan and my daily sugar readings started to fall into the low 80's. We found that was a little bit too low for me; it affected my concentration level. I decided to eliminate my Humalog shots. Then I lowered the Lantus. With these changes and my consistency on my eating plan, I started getting the 94-105 range prior to each meal. Currently, this is still working for me and it had to be accomplished without any ability to exercise.

In January, 2007 I had my usual doctor's visit. My BLOOD PRESSURE WAS 120/80 (and hadn't been this in over 5 years) and MY A1C NUMBER WAS 5.7. I HAD LOST 14 LBS since the start of balanced eating which was about 2 lbs weekly. My doctor was more than pleased and told me to continue what I was doing. He has backed away and only feels the need to monitor my improvements every 3 months.

THE MOST AMAZING THING FOR ME IS THAT I EAT 5X A DAY AND I DON'T SIT AROUND HUNGRY FROM THE PLAN. THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST IMPRESSIVE EXPERIENCE FOR ME BECAUSE I NOW UNDERSTAND HOW TO BALANCE MY DIET with a focus on the right amounts of fresh fruits, dairy products, green vegetables, complex carbs, and proteins. I am constantly looking and adding new items to my eating plan and maintaining the balance.

WHAT'S NEXT IN MY JOURNEY? I will continue until I can get completely off the Lantus based on my sugar readings. As the weight comes off, I hope to be able to exercise more with less pain. IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW TO CONTROL AND BALANCE WHAT YOU EAT, THIS IS THE RIGHT PROGRAM FOR YOU. I AM NOW A FIRM BELIEVER THAT YOU HAVE TO WORK WITH SOMEONE LIKE PATRICIA IN A ONE-ON-ONE SETTING TO COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND THIS PROCESS.

" I am a Nurse Practitioner and have some knowledge of nutrition. Still, I wasn't able to get my own weight and eating habits under control until I started the All About You program. The thing I found most helpful was the weekly meetings with an interested and supportive coach. There was no public weigh-in and hype session; just a casual, open discussion of goals and strategies to meet those goals. The focus was on me gaining control; not on me following some prescribed, one-size-fits-most regimen.

I also got a lot from the meal planning software. It helped me see the protein-carbohydrate-fat mix and really put my eating preferences into perspective. I found that the principles of balanced nutrition and exercise were very consistent with current medical knowledge regarding management of heart disease, high blood pressure and even diabetes. And, the focus on attaining health and well-being rather than simply attaining some goal number (whether weight or thinness) is something I try to encourage in my patients. “I don't know how many times I passed the sign reading: All About You before I stopped and read it. My reaction was “Another quack scheme”. One day, my reflection in the gym mirror made me realize I had to do something. So, I made an appointment with Patricia. While on a cruise, my wife decided to do this with me. We were both overweight with medical issues. We both saw Patricia after vacation.

The weeks passed quickly. At our final measurement, we both Succeeded . I lost over 17 total inches and Mary lost 14.5 inches.
